Introducing Pinot Noir

ALERT THE MASSES! I’m starting a film club! The world, literally can’t believe it!

During the pandemic my ex and I hosted a weekly film club called Pinot Noir, where we watched Film Noir and drank wine over zoom. I recorded intros to the films because my lifelong wish is to be a host on TCM and I’m really just considering this a long term audition. I was going through old files yesterday when I realized, “Hey I have all these videos! I should friggin use them!” So here I am! I’m going to use a backlog of videos until I run out, then of course I’ll be making new ones!

This club will be twice a month on Thursdays. But obviously, you can watch my intros with the films whenever the hell is good for you. And please come back to comment and chat with your thoughts after viewing!

Why Film Noir? Why not Meg Ryan movies?

I do know A LOT about Meg Ryan movies, but I am also a crazed Film Noir obsessive. Always have been always will be. Before I studied Film Noir extensively in college (with the best professor ever Anna Brusutti), I watched endless Film Noir from ages 4-18 with my mother, who is herself, a vague film historian. (She’s almost got the facts right!) In short, not only do I l love these movies, I seem to know a lot about them.
