Pinot Noir film club returns tonight with the fully incomprehensible movie, Orson Welles’ Touch of Evil!!!!
Don’t ask me to explain this movie… I can’t! But it’s so beautifully shot you just kind of have to go with it. Considered the last true film noir of its time, Touch of Evil follows an investigation after a car bomb on the Mexican border, with two detectives fighting over the crime scene and a whole lot of other seedy shenanigans.
Where to watch:
You can find Touch of Evil for rent on most platforms. On your computer, you can also find it on archive.org!
Come back to discuss!
I’ll start a Subscribers only chat thread tonight at 8 PM EST to discuss the film. Join the conversation whenever is convenient for you, whether it be on a lunch break, a smoke break, or a poop break.
As always, the list of films is free but if you want to participate in community discussion of the films, that will be for paid subscribers only! DON’T MISS OUT ON THE FUN!!!! Please do consider becoming a paid subscriber to support all my wild endeavors!
