Trying to think of the title of the 1-29 found footage movie would be as it was the day before my 29th birthday… something like “the year before the end” tho that sounds more early 2000s indie film. Really it should be called “before I had a bad back”
In one pass I guess the camera was on strike or something, and instead of a photo there's just a graphic representation of a human, with a circle for the head and something meant to be the shoulders underneath it.
Your collection of visitor passes from The New Yorker offers a unique glimpse into your journey as a cartoonist. It's fascinating how you found poetry in the mundane, like the security photos and the passes themselves. These artifacts not only mark your professional milestones but also encapsulate personal memories. Thank you for sharing this intimate perspective; it adds depth to our understanding of your creative path.
This is hilarious! The fact that I looked at each one shows the value of saving this collection. I’m currently reading a book on organizing and I know the author would ask, “Do they spark joy?” Meanwhile I too have a collection of pictures. They are from my Ring doorbell. I use them to see if I’ve gained or lost weight and if my clothing looks too tight or too loose. My daughter posted one of her face (mostly nose) on Facebook claiming it’s her favorite photo.
1-29-2019 may be my favorite. You look like found footage in a horror movie.
Then again, 11-19-2019 has a real "The Ring" quality to it... ❤❤❤
