I just saw this film, “Thelma.” Even though our moms are nowhere near that age (the lead is 90) it has the same unhinged random commentary and it’s great. I’d recommend it [when it gets a general release]!
this brought me so much joy :) my mom was also a prolific care package and greeting card sender. rather than feel sad that i'm missing out on those things since she's passed, you've given me the idea to write down some of the wonderful moments that i remember instead. so thank you! and thanks for sharing this
I love your mom. I sent things (still do) to my daughters as well but I 'm not as creative. Yes, cards are expensive but so nice to get. I am making my own by buying blank ones and attaching with double sided tape printed photos I have taken. I get positive responses from people.
