Love these -- my go to are self portraits, all kinds, all poses, crazy curly hair, yoga, you name it. Narcissistic? Maybe.....

My freedom doodles are similar-- often half naked ppl, usually women or androgynous of some sort doing silly things.

Also hairstyles, I love drawing hair! For the animal kingdom I have a thing for drawing reptiles for some reason. I like their sharp teeth and creepy faces, haha.

I love your seltzer paintings, I didn't see it before! They're wonderful. What kind of paint did you use?

I literally had a dream last night I took a painting class (taught by Larry David?) and I was like, "I'm glad I'm FINALLY taking a painting class!" then I woke up annoyed that it wasn't real.

I use watercolor mixed with a lil bit of gouache which is... I don’t know if that’s weird of me or what? The only painting classes I took were as a kid so I have just been making it up since then. You don’t need to take a class!! Tho a class with Larry David would be great

You know what, Larry David was a great art teacher.

Gouache, yes! I have painted a decent amount w/ watercolor actually. I even own some gouache (wow, I'm a liar for saying I don't paint). I guess I meant w/ thicker mediums like acrylic or oil or something.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but you inspired me to return to the gouache I've only used like 2x! That opacity, baby. So yum.

I doodle Batman. Not to look like the "real" Batman. But in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Often the doodled Batman just looks like me in a Batman suit. However he looks, he's a lousy sort of morose and monosyllabic conversation partner. But has very expressive eye. "WWBD"--what would Batman do--is something I ask myself with more frequency than I should probably admit. Doodling him always makes me laugh, though. And process stuff.

Also dogs! Because I have them. How come almost no one ever draws fun expressive German Shepherds? All the cute comics dogs have floppy ears.

I wore a batwoman outfit from ages 5-7. Not a catwoman... a batwoman

Photos? None exist of me in my Batman 66 costume... I also had the 66 stuffed doll... which I still have... though it was chewed up by a German Shepherd.

Love this! It's monsters and giant turtles for me. No idea why but it's so soothing ✨

Giraffes do it for me. With those long necks they’re always up to something interesting or awkward, which are of course the same thing.

I love that, there’s a lot to do with those necks. There was a famous giraffe near my college, UCSB, who had a crooked neck.

Just because you put the idea in my head, this morning I’m going to draw a giraffe replacing a high lightbulb. They can be very handy around the house in fact.

Bucket, long-handled mop. Giraffes would also be good whistlers, with those kissable lips.

When I can’t think of something specific or figurative to draw, I tend to go abstract and organic: spirals and leaves are my go-to doodle subject. They sometimes morph into whimsical creatures, or complex organic machinery.
